The Ministry of Industry and Technology announced the productivity statistics for the third quarter of the year.
According to the calculation made based on the Statistical Classification of Economic Activities in the European Community, the production index per person in total industrial employment, adjusted for seasonal and calendar effects, increased by 0.64 percent compared to the previous quarter in the third quarter of the year, reaching 111.16.
Calendar-adjusted total industrial production per capita index increased by 1.1 percent in the third quarter of the year compared to the same period last year, reaching 111.44.
Production per hour worked increased by 1.98 percent
The production index per hour worked increased by 0.08 percent compared to the previous quarter, reaching 117.44 in the third quarter of the year. Calendar-adjusted total industry production per hour worked index was calculated as 119.82, an increase of 1.98 percent in the July-September period compared to the same period of the previous year.
When examined on the basis of main industrial groups, the highest increase in the production index per employee compared to the previous quarter was in “intermediate goods” with 1.28 percent. The highest increase in the production index per working person on an annual basis was seen in “energy” with 7.65 percent.
