“Istanbul Leather and Leather Goods Exporters’ Association (IDMIB) provided an Information and Awareness Seminar on the ‘Societal Integration through Vocational Training in the Leather and Leather Products Sector for Disadvantaged Individuals (DEZDEM)’ project on Wednesday, May 10, at the Foreign Trade Complex Şehit Ömer Halisdemir Conference Hall. The target group includes unemployed individuals aged 18-35 receiving social assistance, unemployed women and men at risk of poverty, women with unemployed and disabled children, and individuals with orthopedic physical disabilities living in the Zeytinburnu, Tuzla, Başakşehir (Ikitelli), and Güngören districts. The project, implemented in partnership with IDMIB and the Turkey Leather Industrialists Association (TDSD), is financed by the European Union and the Ministry of Labor and Social Security – İŞKUR. LASIAD was represented at the seminar by Board Member Arif Özkan and General Secretary Şerafettin Yüzüak.”
