LASIAD hosted Fatih District Governor Kaan Peker in Laleli. On Thursday, December 12, 2019, LASIAD Chairman Gıyasettin Eyyüpkoca, Vice Chairman Muhammed Sancaktar, Vice Chairman Turan Yavuz, Ahmet Turan, Board Members Erdem Soylu Karabağlı, Rıfat Opan, Birol Fırat, Mert Karaca and Secretary General Şerafettin Yüzüak attended the visit held at LASIAD Association Building.
During the meeting, various issues such as the economy of the Laleli Region, security and the conditions for employing foreign personnel were discussed. Gıyasettin Eyyüpkoca noted: ” The problem of employing unregistered personnel is not only a problem of the Laleli Region, but unfortunately a problem of our country. Problems can be solved with the cooperation of the state and NGOs, and efficiency can be achieved in this way. As we are a non-governmental organization in the heart of the Historical Peninsula, at the gateway of Turkey to the outside world, we are a sensitive region as we receive a lot of tourists from abroad. Laleli is one of the places in Turkey where there are no Syrians. Because we do not need Syrian personnel. Since we work intensively with the Eastern Bloc countries, what we really need is a good staff who is both qualified and can speak the language.”
At the end of the visit, Kaan Peker thanked the LASIAD Delegation for their hospitality and the LASIAD Delegation thanked Kaan Peker for their visit.
