Initiatives have been intensified to take the economic relations between Turkey and Russia, which are in the process of revitalization, to a new dimension with a free trade agreement. Russian Economic Development Minister Alexander Ulyukayev said that a free trade agreement between the two countries is planned to be signed soon.
“We are close to an agreement on free trade and investment,” the Russian minister said, noting that the two countries’ leaders touched on the issue during their meeting at the G20 summit.
Reminding that the negotiations on the Turkey-Russia Investment Fund have come to an end, Ulyukayev said that they will meet with Economy Minister Nihat Zeybekçi at the end of October to discuss the issue.
The Russian Minister also informed that the details of the Turkish Stream are being worked on.
