The application of the Secure Payment System in Notary Transactions has started across the country.
Edirne 1st Notary Chief Clerk Özcan Yolagelmez, in his statement to AA correspondent, stated that the Secure Payment System application, which will provide a great advantage to citizens, has started as of today throughout the country.
Explaining that buying and selling will be done more safely within the scope of the application, Yolagelmez said, “Our citizens no longer need to carry money with them for buying and selling transactions as before. In this way, the possibilities of losing money and fraud are completely eliminated. Now, the money transferred to the escrow account is completed after the notarial procedures are completed.” “It will be transferred to the relevant person’s account. Thus, the buying and selling transactions will be completed safely.” he said.
“The debit or credit card will definitely be in your name.”
Yolagelmez stated that with the new system, debit and credit cards can be used for payments in notary transactions.
Underlining that making the payment by credit card will provide convenience to the citizens, Yolagelmez said, “When we made the transactions, some citizens did not have that much money with them or asked ‘Can’t I pay by credit card?’ “Now, using debit and credit cards for payments has made things easier for people doing business. However, there is an important detail here. The credit card or debit card will definitely be in your name.” he said.
Within the scope of the application, the risks of theft or loss of money during cash transportation are eliminated, while the money taken into the escrow account for purchases and sales is transferred to the account of the relevant person after the notarial procedures are completed.
