The support package implemented by public banks to financially support individual customers whose monthly household income is 5 thousand liras and below plays an important role in meeting basic needs. VakıfBank, Halk Bank and Ziraat Bank offer citizens a loan opportunity of 10 thousand liras with a maturity of 36 months and a grace period of 6 months.

Salih Şafak (64), an employee of a restaurant closed due to coronavirus in Istanbul, said in a statement to the AA correspondent that he became aware of this loan through the announcement of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the message he received from VakıfBank, and that he welcomed it.
Stating that he applied to VakıfBank for the “Individual Basic Needs Support Loan” about a week ago and did not encounter any difficulties in the loan application process, Şafak said that the loan amount of 10 thousand liras was deposited into his account.

Şafak said, “The situation got worse due to the coronavirus. I was working, but the workplace I worked for was closed due to the epidemic. That’s why I applied for a loan. This loan will relieve me for 5-6 months. There are no people around me from whom I can borrow a loan. If it weren’t for this loan, I would have had difficulties.” said.
Stating that he is happy for the support of the state in such a process, Şafak said, “The situation is difficult, but the state and the nation are with us. That is why we are happy now. I thank our state for this opportunity. May God not harm our state.” he said.
