I would like to begin my words by expressing my heartfelt gratitude to all the dear friends of Laleli who have been with us, sharing our joys and sorrows, either by participating or organizing projects in the region throughout this month. We are truly fortunate to have companions like you. Thank you for being there.
We have experienced a month filled with intense, exhausting, yet enjoyable days. The Istanbul Chamber of Commerce Council Elections, followed by our Fashion-Shopping Festival, and finally, our General Assembly, were scenes full of pride and excitement. The Istanbul Chamber of Commerce Elections, in particular, demonstrated the magnificent potential of what Laleli can achieve when united. I extend my infinite thanks to all our members and tradesmen who participated in the elections and did not withhold their support from us. Also, I congratulate and express my appreciation to the Board of Directors and our secretariat, who worked tirelessly and contributed significantly to fulfilling our responsibilities as an association. Hopefully, we will carry out this important duty entrusted to us competently and bring new momentum to our region.
Within this month, we also successfully organized our Fashion and Shopping Festival, an event that I consider one of the most precious in terms of trade and conceptual significance, not only for Turkey but globally. The participation, visual appeal, various activities, and entertainments were flawless. We have witnessed that our festival, besides its contributions, has become a symbolic gain for us to act together. I extend my separate thanks to our esteemed President, Mr. Mustafa Demir, the organizing committee, our board of directors, sponsors for their unique contributions, and all participants.
Finally, our General Assembly, held at the end of August, once again provided us with the opportunity to see the unity of Laleli and its ability to act with collective wisdom. In this new term, we have taken on this challenging and sensitive duty without succumbing to complacency about past achievements, with the same enthusiasm and amateur spirit as the first day. Hopefully, our efforts will not embarrass us, and we will fulfill this responsibility properly and deservedly. Serving and contributing a brick to the path our country has taken as Laleli is our intention, and we assure you that we have undertaken this responsibility with the initial fervor of the first day. Your prayers and support are our greatest wish. Hopefully, in this period where we plan to move with the passionate feelings of the past, Laleli will make great progress, reaching the beautiful horizons we have dreamed of and providing us with the joy of having served.
As we enter a new term with these wishes, I extend my deepest gratitude to the previous board members for the services they provided.
