The 25th General Assembly of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) took place on June 30, 2018, at the Haliç Congress Center. Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım attended the elective ordinary general assembly, which was attended by sector representatives and TİM delegates. In his speech at the General Assembly, Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım evaluated the latest developments in the economy. Additionally, awards were presented to Turkey’s export champion companies. The firms and individuals who earned awards for their exports in 2017 include Ford Otomotiv – Koç Holding Vice Chairman Ali Koç, Toyota Otomotiv Türkiye – Toyota CEO Hiroshi Kato, Tofaş Türk Otomobil Fab. A.Ş. – Koç Holding Vice Chairman Ali Koç, Oyak – Renault Otomobil Fab. A.Ş. – Oyak Renault General Manager Antoine Aoun, TÜPRAŞ – Koç Holding Vice Chairman Ali Koç, Kibar Dış Tic. A.Ş – Kibar Holding Chairman Ali Kibar, Vestel Ticaret A.Ş – Zorlu Holding Chairman Ahmet Nazif Zorlu, 8th Arçelik – Koç Holding Vice Chairman Ali Koç, Bosch Sanayi Ticaret A.Ş – Yasin Akdere, and Mercedes-Benz Türk A.Ş – Bülent Acicbe. İsmail Gülle was elected as the new president in the presidential election held by the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM). Muhammed Sancaktar represented LASAİD at the General Assembly.
