The first 1 billion cubic meters of gas was shipped from TurkStream

Russian energy company Gazprom reported that the first 1 billion cubic meters of natural gas have been shipped through the TurkStream pipeline.

In the statement made by Gazprom, 54 percent of the first 1 billion cubic meters of natural gas was sent to Turkey and 46 percent to the Bulgaria-Turkey border via TurkStream, which became operational at the beginning of the month.

TurkStream, which sends Russian gas to Europe via Turkey, was inaugurated by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Russian President Vladimir Putin on January 8.
