Hz. Mevlana says, “Everything waits for its time, neither the rose blooms before its time nor the sun rises before its time, just wait, what is yours will come to you.”
We are the children of a nation that has suffered greatly. We have both made history and witnessed historical betrayals. The moment came when, in our heedlessness, we surrendered the cities we had ruled for centuries without firing a single bullet, and the moment came when we died without thinking in the vast deserts just because we considered them sacred. We taught the world justice, respect and brotherhood, and we did not speak out even to those who stabbed us in the back. We protected and looked after the people of the lands we arrived at, and did not touch anyone’s religion, language or culture. For centuries, we have been the guardians of peace, unity and harmony, and we have sacrificed our lives when necessary for this. We rushed to the oppressed in distant lands without expecting any benefit and shared their pain. We have neither pursued imperialist ideals nor traced insidious plans. We traveled on horseback for days and months for the cause of justice. We held the oppressors to account and always stood by the oppressed. From east to west, from north to south, we have become the protector of the climate of peace and the shield of the scales of justice. We achieved victory through defeats and the goal through bloody fights. We have closed an era, opened an era, and at some point, we have rewritten history. We have achieved countless victories under the shadow of the unity, solidarity and brotherhood of this noble nation. Our borders reach from the ends of Africa to the bastions of Asia and the vastness of Europe. We said stop to the atrocities, we supported those whose necks were bent, and we said, “don’t be afraid, we are with you.”
As the line of destiny flows, sometimes it is steep and sometimes it is wavy, but its destination is clear. As the grandchildren of a nation with a glorious past, we continue to move forward on the line of destiny, even though we stumble from time to time. This is the concern of those who try to put our country in trouble today. Turkey, which has become stronger and growing again, disturbs global actors and hinders gaming channels. If you say “stop” to the exploitation of Africa, the destruction of countries, and the wasting of young people for nothing for perverted ideologies, of course there will be a price for this, and our country is paying this price in every sense. However, there is one forgotten fact, which is the immutable line of fate. No matter what they do, this arrow will reach its target.
Just as the plans made against our country in the Eastern Mediterranean will be destroyed, the games played in the Caucasus will also come to nothing. With the support of our nation, which has always been pro-peace, brother Azerbaijan’s recovery of its occupied lands recognized by the United Nations will happen sooner or later. Justice will be served and fate will be manifested. The concepts of human dignity, law and equality require this. We are a nation that wants the bloodshed and injustice in our geography to end quickly and wishes this wholeheartedly. Every step we take is in favor of peace and tranquility. Armenia, which has been in the lands it has unjustly occupied for 30 years, should know this fact and put an end to this carelessness in order to ensure peace in the region. While more than one million Karabakh immigrants in Azerbaijan are waiting to return to their oppressed homeland, the world should see this truth. Let’s not forget that it is Azerbaijan that has been patiently waiting for 30 years to get results at the peace table established by biased global powers. Those who try to operate diplomacy despite injustice. However, at this point, Armenia, the spoiled child of the region, continues to maintain its aggressive attitude. I believe that justice will be served and Karabakh will be returned to its real owners. Turkey is no longer a country that listens to words, takes orders and implements them to the letter. This is how it should be known. The endless attacks against our country do not and cannot prevent this reality. As long as we are united and our hearts beat together, this ancient nation will not be bent. On this occasion, I congratulate you on 29 October Republic Day and offer my respects.
