The Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO) organ elections (Professional Committees and Council Members) took place on Monday, April 9th at the Istanbul Fair Center. Members of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce went to the polls to elect representatives who will serve for four years. Approximately 400,000 people cast their votes in the elections, which started at 9:00 in the morning and continued until 17:00 in the evening. In the elections, which received intense interest from the business world, a total of 603 individuals were elected, with 261 being Council Members and 342 being Committee Members from ITO’s 81 professional committees.
The list supported by LASİAD won with 1097 votes, securing victory with a margin of 431 votes over the closest competitor. With the finalization of the results, on Saturday, April 14th, the elected ITO Council Members, Board of Directors, Board Chairman, Council President, and members of the Supervisory and Disciplinary Board will receive their certificates and will proceed to elect TOBB delegates.
