The Mayor of Fatih, Mustafa Demir’s visit to LASİAD

On April 12th, Thursday, Mayor of Fatih, Mustafa Demir, and his deputies, along with members of the Board of Directors, Supervisory Board, and Disciplinary Committee, gathered for breakfast at Wyndham Hotel. During the visit, the issues of Laleli were discussed, and potential solutions were explored.

Speaking at the event, LASİAD President Gıyasettin Eyyüpkoca stated, “We have always seen Mayor Mustafa by our side. Whenever we had a need, a problem, or sorrow, we shared it with him, and he has always been with us. I believe and feel that we should always stand together with him, doing whatever is in our power.”

Following Eyyüpkoca, Orhan Narin, the Future District Chairman of the AK Party in Fatih, spoke. Narin discussed the perception of Turkey abroad, saying, “Improving this perception is in our hands, and bringing it to the best level is also in our hands. If there is a duty for us as the AK Party government at the district level, we will make every effort, to the last drop of our blood and sweat, to walk on this path as much as our strength allows and our minds comprehend. May God not embarrass us.”

The last speaker, Mayor Mustafa Demir, expressed, “I always say it. When it comes to the relationship between Local Governments and Civil Society Organizations, if you were asked to give an example for the country, for democracy, for the common interest of society, I would cite LASİAD. They not only do what is necessary for the benefit of their own business members but also are sensitive to the needs of the city, just like a municipality. They are active at the national and international levels as much as needed. A wonderful place and organization that thinks about the homeland, Istanbul, its surroundings, and the future, beyond what a municipality does. When we come here, we feel at home.”
