On Wednesday, the guest of the ‘Laleli Meetings’ held at Wyndham Hotel was Şekip Avdaviç. The breakfast meeting, attended by LASİAD Board, Supervisory and Disciplinary Board, and members, focused on the main agenda of the upcoming Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO) elections scheduled for April 9, 2018.
Gıyasettin Eyyüpkoca, the President of the LASİAD Board, opened the program with a speech, stating, ‘Şekip Avdaviç is a highly respected figure by everyone, and I emphasize this especially. Şekip Bey is a valuable elder whom we all call ‘Şekip ağabey,’ and even if he becomes the president of ITO in the new term, we will still refer to him as Şekip Ağabey. Personally, I wish him an open and successful path on this journey he has embarked on, and I say, may Allah be with him and help him.’
In his speech, Şekip Avdaviç stated, ‘If it is destined, and we come to office, our priority will be to elevate the brand value of Istanbul. Without any misunderstanding, I want to draw your attention to one point: the brand value of Istanbul abroad is at a higher point than the brand value of Turkey.’
