The footwear industry’s first physical fair in the pandemic will start on September 30

The 63rd International Footwear Fashion Fair (AYMOD), one of the first physical fairs of the new era, will be held at CNR Expo on September 30-October 3, taking all precautions against the global pandemic.

Organized by the Turkish Footwear Manufacturers Association (TASD), the fair will bring together 420 brands that shape the footwear industry with international buyers for the 63rd time.

Buyer delegations from 32 countries, which have a special place in shoe exports and have a high export potential, will come to the fair, and visitors from Germany, Croatia, Italy, Russia, Russia, Iraq, Kazakhstan and Israel will also take part.

The fair, which is expected to be visited by more than 25 thousand local and foreign professionals, will provide hundreds of millions of dollars of business connections through B2B meetings.

In the statement, TASD President Abdulsabur Endican stated that despite all the difficulties, they continue their activities to continue production in the Turkish shoe industry, increase exports and increase the sector’s effectiveness in the international arena.

Endican noted that they organized AYMOD online on August 25-27 and received positive signals from the participants, and stated that although the physical fairs were only allowed to be held on September 1, they brought AYMOD to September 30 with an intense work.

Stating that they did all the promotion and marketing activities they could for the Turkish shoe manufacturer under any circumstances, Endican said:

“Despite the pandemic, we are organizing our 63rd International Footwear Fashion Fair. Thousands of professional visitors will attend the fair, where purchasing delegations from 32 countries will come. It is a great success to organize this fair in such a period. Buying delegations and professional visitors will hold B2B meetings with the brands in the fair. The fair will make a significant contribution to our exports.”

AYMOD fair

According to the information in the statement, AYMOD, where new season products will be exhibited, will offer visitors the opportunity to see the latest models closely. In addition, product groups can be accessed and compared under the same roof in line with the needs.

AYMOD, which is the biggest international power of the Turkish footwear industry, will host the new trends of the industry and will shape the shoe fashion of the next year.

At the fair, the book study titled “History of Shoes from Past to Present”, which was prepared by TASD to expert academicians and which deals with the history and change of shoes since the first human being, will also be presented to the visitors.

“1 visitor per 10 square meters” limit

At the fair, where all measures were taken against the global pandemic, a series of measures were implemented within the scope of the new normalization criteria set by the government and the Union of International Fairs (UFI) in order to eliminate possible risks by securing the health of exhibitors and visitors.

In this context, the entry and exit points to the fair have been reorganized. Body temperature checks will be carried out at fair entrances.

The air inside will be kept clean by using external air in ventilation systems. The number of people in the fair area at the same time will be limited to “1 visitor per 10 square meters”.

It will be mandatory for exhibitors, visitors and officials to query the HES code at the entrance to the fair.
