The stock market rose above 110 thousand points

There are limited increases in global markets on the last trading day of the week. Although the US stock markets closed slightly negative yesterday, US futures are up around 0.50 percent today. There is a mixed outlook in Asian stock markets. While Chinese stock markets are declining; Japan and Hong Kong are on the rise.

The stock market rose above 110 thousand points; dollar at 6.75

BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul opened in parallel with the predominantly upward movements in global markets. The index, which increased by 0.55 percent, reached 110 thousand 142 points. While Dollar/TL started at 6.75, Euro/TL opened at 7.66.

Statement on Türkiye from Moody’s is expected

While there is no important economic data in the country, Moody’s possible Türkiye statement will be followed. It is anticipated that Moody’s will maintain Turkey’s credit rating as ‘B1’ and its outlook as ‘Negative’. Moody’s Turkey report, which may not be disclosed, is expected to arrive between 23.00 and 23.30.

The eyes of global markets will be on employment data in the USA. Non-agricultural employment in the USA is expected to decrease by 8.33 million and the unemployment rate is expected to increase to 19.5 percent. In the previous month, employment decreased by 20.5 million and the unemployment rate was 14.7 percent. The data will be announced at 15.30.

News that OPEC+ will meet on June 6 supported oil prices

The news that OPEC+ will hold a meeting on June 6 to decide on extending the production cut supported oil prices in international markets.

Brent oil, which first tested below the 39 dollar/barrel level with the concern that OPEC and its allies led by Russia would not agree on extending the supply cut, rose above 40 dollars/barrel again today.

With the expectations for the meeting, which was stated to be held after Iraq and some other countries, which did not fully comply with the global supply reduction agreement in May, pledged to improve their compliance with the agreement, Brent oil is traded at 40.21 dollars per barrel on ICE, increasing by 22 cents compared to yesterday.

West Texas Intermediate oil rose 9 cents to $37.50 per barrel on NYMEX.
