The Traditional LASAİD Iftar


“The traditional Ramadan iftar organized by the Laleli Industrialists and Businessmen Association (LASİAD), with the slogan ‘When an orphan smiles, the world smiles,’ took place this year on May 30, 2018, in Bingöl with the participation of 6 thousand people. In the face of the alarming fact that 400 million of the world’s population consists of orphaned children, with 100 million of them living without any protection, LASİAD aimed to bring smiles to orphans through its traditional Ramadan iftar.”


“The iftar program, which took place with intense interest and participation, also received great attention from state officials. The program was attended by the former Minister of Development and AK Party Vice Chairman Cevdet Yılmaz, Bingöl Governor Ali Mantı, Former Governor of Ağrı Musa Işın, Deputy Mayor Halim Sugü, LASİAD President Gıyasettin Eyyüpkoca, LASİAD Board of Directors, institution managers, orphaned citizens, and 6 thousand citizens. Speaking at the iftar program, LASİAD President Gıyasettin Eyyüpkoca emphasized the unity of the country’s east and west, north and south, stating that they organized these programs with the belief that the country could grow even more by coming together and moving forward together.”

Eyyüpkoca stated, “For the past 3 years, we have been organizing such events outside of Istanbul. We arrange these iftar programs in the spirit of brotherhood, unity, and togetherness.”

After the iftar, the LASİAD Board of Directors, continuing their programs in Bingöl, visited Bingöl İmam Hatip High School on Thursday, May 31. During the visit, the school administration thanked President Eyyüpkoca and presented him with a plaque in appreciation of his contributions to the school.

Later, the LASİAD delegation visited Bingöl Governor Ali Mantı at his office, and after the visit, they departed from Bingöl.
