“Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım visited the Moldovan capital, Chisinau, on May 5-6, for discussions with Turkish businessmen. The Turkey-Moldova Business Forum, hosted by the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK), continued with consultation meetings and bilateral talks attended by the Prime Minister. Numerous figures from Ankara participated in the forum, including Deputy Prime Minister Tuğrul Türkeş, Minister of Labor and Social Security Mehmet Müezzinoğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of Economy Nihat Zeybekci, AK Party Group Deputy Chairman Bülent Turan, AK Party Deputy Chairmen Mehdi Eker and Fatih Şahin, Turkey’s Ambassador to Chisinau Hulusi Kılıç, TİKA President Serdar Çam, and Prime Ministry Foreign Policy Chief Advisor Kerim Uras. LASIAD Board Chairman Giyasettin Eyyüpkoca represented LASIAD at the event, which had the participation of around 300 businessmen.
Addressing Turkish and Moldovan businessmen, Yıldırım emphasized that they would provide all kinds of support to increase the trade volume between the two countries. Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım stated in his speech at the forum, ‘Turkey aims to increase its per capita income to $25,000. To achieve this, we need two things: trust and stability. In the past 15 years, while eliminating all infrastructure deficiencies in Turkey, we have made significant investments in many areas worldwide. We are taking steps to open the way for our businessmen and preparing opportunities.'”
