AYMOD, Turkey and Europe’s largest in its field and the world’s second-largest fair, took place for the 62nd time. Organized by Pozitif Fuarcılık, a subsidiary of CNR Holding, in collaboration with the Turkish Shoe Industrialists Association (TASD) and with the support of the Turkey Shoe Industry Research Development Education Foundation (TASEV), the International Shoe Fashion Fair (AYMOD) was held at the CNR Expo Istanbul Fair Center.
The fair, where potential trade opportunities were presented, became a stage for billions of dollars worth of business connections with the bilateral meetings held. Catering to the footwear needs of nearly 600 million people living in the neighboring geography, including Turkey, Russia, Ukraine, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, Iran, Iraq, and Jordan, thousands of new models ranging from women’s and men’s shoes to children’s shoes, including classic, sports, and handmade ones, were exhibited. More than 30,000 visitors from countries such as Russia, Italy, Israel, the United Arab Emirates, Kazakhstan, Poland, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Jordan, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Montenegro, and Lebanon participated in the fair.
LASİAD Vice President Ahmet Turan and Secretary General Şerafettin Yüzüak, who attended the fair on behalf of LASİAD, visited the booths and extended their best wishes to the companies.
In addition to showcasing the world’s largest shoe, which entered the Guinness Book of World Records with number 455, produced by Zahit Okurlar, the fair also featured the “Artistic Shoes” collection by Kobi Levi, a shoe designer known for his work with Lady Gaga.
