The 40th Istanbul Marathon, organized by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, Spor Istanbul, and Vodafone, took place with intense participation on the second Sunday of November. 130,000 people crossed from the Asian continent to Europe. Among the footsteps taken with the passion for sports were members of the ALS-MNH Association. LASIAD sponsored the ALS-MNH Association for the Vodafone 40th Istanbul Marathon.
The ALS-MNH Association participated in the marathon for the ‘Take a Step to Save Lives’ Project. An explanation about the marathon and the project was made on their website.

We want to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported our ‘Philanthropy Run.’ Thanks to your donations and messages of support during our run, you believed in the power of kindness once again in this race where you supported us. Our goal while running was to reach as many people as possible. It was to Activate! Thanks to you, we are achieving this.
As you may remember, our goal was to raise 200,000 TL in donations to purchase generators for 100 ALS patients. So far, thanks to our runners, 849 donors have supported our Philanthropy Run campaign, and 129,000 TL has been raised. With the donations you sent, you supported the Istanbul-2018-ALS/MNH-Take a Step to Save Lives Project. The ALS-MNH Association is rapidly approaching its 200,000 TL goal. We couldn’t even dream of this without you. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
