The Presidential Council Election Meeting of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Turkish Apparel and Ready-made Clothing Industry Assembly was held via video conference under the chairmanship of TOBB Board Member Zeki Kıvanç.
At the meeting held with the participation of high-level representatives of the private sector and non-governmental organizations, System Tekstil San. and Tic. Inc. Chairman of the Board of Directors, Şeref Fayat, was unanimously re-elected as the Deputy Chairman of the Assembly, and our Chairman of the Board, Gıyasettin Eyyüpkoca, was unanimously re-elected.
Speaking after the election, Assembly Speaker Şeref Fayat and Assembly Deputy Speaker Gıyasettin Eyyüpkoca thanked the Assembly Members for their trust in them and stated that they would work to move the sector further and solve the problems under the umbrella of TOBB in the coming period. They stated that they will focus on what needs to be done so that the sector can continue its activities without any problems during the current difficult period.
TOBB Board Member Zeki Kıvanç informed the Council Members about the work carried out by TOBB on behalf of the sector and the economic measures taken during the COVID-19 epidemic. Stating that, as TOBB, they are always there to solve the problems of the sector, Kıvanç stated that they follow the process directly with the public.
At the meeting, Council Members made evaluations regarding the reflections of the COVID-19 epidemic process on the sector and the current situation of the sector.
