Turkey Bosnia-Sandzak Culture and Solidarity Association organized a program at its headquarters on Sunday, October 27, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of its establishment and the opening of the cultural center. The opening ceremony, which saw record attendance, was attended by numerous high-level statesmen, politicians, diplomats, bureaucrats, academics, and representatives of NGOs from countries such as Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Sandzak Region, Serbia, and Montenegro. Notable figures included Abdullah Skaka, the Mayor of Sarajevo representing the Presidency Council Member Şefik Caferoviç and the Speaker of the People’s Assembly Bakir Izetbegoviç from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Osman Nurkoviç, the Minister of Transport from Montenegro, Jasmina Curiç, the President of the Bosniak National Assembly in Sandzak, Nihat Bişevac, the Mayor of Novi Pazar, Hazbo Mujoviç, the Mayor of Sjenica, and Kenan Hot, the Mayor of Tutin.
LASİAD President Gıyasettin Eyyüpkoca, Vice President Turan Yavuz, Board Member Corc Bekdaş, Treasurer İrfan Akbaş, and Secretary General Şerafettin Yüzüak attended the official opening of the cultural center on behalf of LASİAD.
The program began with a moment of silence in honor of the martyrs and the singing of the National Anthem. Following this, a documentary film was screened, providing insights into the historical process, interviews with figures who served in the administrations, and the activities carried out by the Turkey Bosnia-Sandzak Culture and Solidarity Association.
In his speech, Muhammed Sancaktar, the President of the Turkey Bosnia-Sandzak Culture and Solidarity Association and Vice President of LASİAD, recounted the brief history of the association, discussed its activities, and expressed gratitude to all those who contributed over the years.
The opening ceremony, which garnered significant attention from high-level Turkish authorities, was attended by Süleyman Soylu, the Minister of the Interior of the Republic of Turkey, Celal Adan, the Deputy Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Saffet Sancaklı, the MP of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) from Kocaeli, Mustafa Demir, the AK Party Istanbul Deputy, Selahattin Minsolmaz, the AK Party Kırklareli Deputy, İlhami Özcan Argun, the CHP Tekirdağ Deputy, Şekib Avdagiç, the President of Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, Dr. Soner Şenel, Atila Aydıner, the Mayor of Bayrampaşa Municipality, and Hasan Tahsin Usta, the Mayor of Gaziosmanpaşa Municipality.
Representatives from Bosnia and Herzegovina, including Abdullah Skaka, the Mayor of Sarajevo representing the Presidency Council Member Şefik Caferoviç and the Speaker of the People’s Assembly Bakir Izetbegoviç, Osman Nurkoviç, the Minister of Transport from Montenegro, Jasmina Curiç, the President of the Bosniak National Assembly in Sandzak, Nihat Bişevac, the Mayor of Novi Pazar, Hazbo Mujoviç, the Mayor of Sjenica, and Kenan Hot, the Mayor of Tutin, also attended the program to support their compatriots in Turkey.
