Starting his speech by congratulating the guests on the Republic Day, Istanbul Governor Ali Yerlikaya emphasized that the homeland’s journey began with Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who tore up many treaties such as Mondros and Sevres. Yerlikaya stated, “We have demonstrated with our blood and lives that this homeland is forever ours. The proclamation of the Republic is the rebirth and revival of our nation. The proclamation of our Republic is the greatest monument of our independence and freedom. The Republic of Turkey is the greatest work of faith, courage, and determination. In this work, there is the passion of our dear nation, beating from young to old, male to female, for an independent Republic of Turkey. At the core of our Republic, there is unity, brotherhood, love of the homeland. There is right, justice, democracy, knowledge, wisdom, and unshakable belief.”

Representing LASİAD, Secretary General Şerafettin Yüzüak and Board Member Mert Karaca attended the crowded reception.
