On Wednesday, August 2, 2017, LASİAD organized a press launch for the IV. Laleli Fashion Shopping Festival at Laleli Wyndham Hotel. The launch event, which drew significant interest from representatives and correspondents of TV and newspapers from the national press, was attended by LASİAD President of the Board of Directors Giyasettin Eyyüpkoca, Vice President of the Board of Directors Muhammed Sancaktar, Vice Presidents of the Board of Directors Ercan Hardal, Erdem Soylu Karabağlı, Festival Committee President İbrahim Murat Ramizoğlu, Board Members İrfan Akbaş, Tarık Nayman, and General Secretary Şerafettin Yüzüak. LASİAD President Giyasettin Eyyüpkoca, in his statement to the press, mentioned, ‘This year, our festival, with the slogan ‘The Golden Key of Trade, Laleli,’ will last until August 13th. Nearly 250 buyers from 8 countries are coming to Istanbul for this festival, and the worst days for Laleli, which once achieved nearly 6 billion dollars in exports, are behind us, especially with 2016.’ Eyyüpkoca continued his press statement, saying, ‘We made a good start to 2017. In the first half of this year, we recorded a 25-30% increase in our trade compared to the same period last year. Thanks to the synergy created by the festival, which we are organizing for the 6th time with the slogan ‘The Golden Key of Trade, Laleli,’ we will return to our former bright days.
