On Friday, February 9th, a delegation from the Turkish Apparel and Ready-Made Garment Industry Council visited the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy, Ibrahim Şenel. During the visit, discussions were held regarding investment incentives. The delegation included Council President Şeref Fayat, Council Vice President and President of LASİAD (Laleli Industrialists and Businessmen Association) Gıyasettin Eyyüpkoca, and Council Members İsmail Kısacık, İrfan Özhamaratlı, and Ramazan Kaya. During the meeting, the delegation also expressed their gratitude to the Undersecretary for the support provided by the Ministry for the implementation of Law No. 5746, concerning the support of Research and Development Activities.
Gıyasettin Eyyüpkoca emphasized the necessity for the Laleli market to remain in Istanbul due to the nature of the sector. He highlighted the direct interaction between buyers and sellers in the established system, the fulfillment of customer demands through daily production, and the rapid delivery of different requests based on models and trends. Eyyüpkoca pointed out the importance of implementing incentives that support the sector in this direction.
