Istanbul Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism Nedret Apaydın visited LASIAD on 11 January 2017 with İsmail Kalan and Murat Aksoy, officials of the directorate. Apaydın was hosted by Giyasettin Eyyüpkoca, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Muhammed Sancaktar and İsmail Dark, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, İbrahim Murat Ramizoğlu, Barış Köseliören, İhsan Bıyıkbeyi, Mehmet Özbayrak, Rıfat Opan and Tarık Nayman. At the meeting, the problems, developments and works in tourism were mentioned. At the end of the meeting, LASIAD Chairman Giyasettin Eyyüpkoca presented a plaque with tulip motif to Istanbul Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism NedretApaydın.
