Providing information about the regulation, Minister of Commerce Ruhsar Pekcan reminded that according to the current regulations, the warranty documents prepared by the manufacturer or importer of the product and the delivery documents and service receipts given by the service stations within the scope of after-sales services are presented to consumers on paper, signed and stamped, and added that the warranty certificate or He pointed out that consumers who lose their service receipts may suffer in the event of a dispute.

“In the new period, warranty documents, delivery documents given when the product is delivered to the service station, and service receipts issued by the service station will be given to consumers electronically with a permanent data recorder.

If requested by the consumer, it will be mandatory to provide these documents in written and printed form. Signature and stamp requirements will not be required for these documents submitted electronically.

As in the current practice, in documents provided electronically, the burden of proof that the document is presented to the consumer will be on the seller of the product.

Confirmation will be obtained from the consumer in writing or electronically that the service receipts and delivery documents have been provided. “The burden of proof that the consumer’s approval has been obtained will be on the service station.”
