The United States has announced its readiness to hold talks with North Korea. “The first move on the long road to denuclearization,” the US commented on the next step.

The White House said yesterday that the United States is open to a meeting between North Korea and South Korea and international committees to finalize denuclearization.
The statement said the US will continue its peaceful pressure campaign until North Korea is completely denuclearized.
“WE WILL ACCEPT IT AS THE FIRST MOVE OF THE LONG ROAD”
Noting that it would be in North Korea’s interest to give up its nuclear arsenal, the White House said it was ready to meet if Pyongyang made a statement during the day and would accept North Korea’s step as the first step on the long road to denuclearization.
However, it was reported that the US needs to make sure that North Korea has completely ended its nuclear work.
