World production of motor vehicles decreased by 6.3 percent to 91.5 million units last year. While Turkey ranked 15th in the world with 1.5 million units, Portugal was the country that increased its production the most with 67.7 percent compared to the previous year.
According to data from the International Association of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers, global production of motor vehicles totaled 91 million 538 thousand 640 units last year. Compared to the previous year, global production decreased by 6.3 percent.
The automobile group ranked first in the production of motor vehicles with 77 percent. In this period, the number of automobiles manufactured worldwide decreased by 3 percent to 70 million 466 thousand 344 units.
